Dr. Chidi Received Green Card After Case Was Denied!

Dr. Chidi is a licensed medical doctor who got her medical degree from Grenada and subsequently got licensed in the United States. She is happily married to a United States citizen and blessed with two children. Despite being married to a United States citizen, her green card application was denied by USCIS in 2016 because of an alleged prior visa violation during one of her visits to the United States on a B1/2 nonimmigrant visa in 2012. Before hiring the services of Attorney Asiriuwa, Chidi was represented by another immigration lawyer who abandoned her case after it was denied by USCIS. When Chidi met with our lawyers, she was frustrated and hopeless about the possibility of getting a green card and considered moving back with her son to her home country, Nigeria. We worked closely with Dr. Chidi and developed a case strategy which included filing a 290B motion to reopen and a 601 waiver application. In addition to forms, supporting documents and evidence to overcome the alleged visa violation, we filed a brief in support and made compelling legal arguments in support of Dr Chidi's case. Like every immigration case, after filing the waiting game began and eight months later, Dr. Chidi was granted a 10 year green card. Dr. Chidi has been a Lawful Permanent Resident since 2018.
